Laser Fleet 10 Update

 

Hello Laser Sailors!

 

Thanks to all of you that came out last Sunday for day 2 of the SSA Laser Summer Series.  It was a beautiful day to be sailing, with no shortage of breeze!  Brady White won the day and maintains his first place position for the series.  He is followed by Jake Muhleman in second and Jerry Smith in third.  The series concludes on Saturday Aug 4th- registration at 8:30 am, first warning at 11am.

 

TESOD Laser sailors-  Nan is in need of volunteers for RC on Tuesday nights.  Any SSA members interested in volunteering please contact her at office@severnsailing.org  - the only skills required are running an outboard powerboat, setting a relatively square course and heckling the racers!

Laser events at SSA this weekend

This weekend at SSA....

 

Saturday July 21st -Laser Clinic

 

Sorry for the short notice, but we were just able to pull this together with the Junior Program coaches who will be traveling to regattas after this weekend.

Date:  Saturday, July 21
Time:  1:00 - 4:00
Place: SSA
Cost:  $60
Curriculum:  starts, boat handling drills (more detail will be sent)
Coaches:           Mark Dunsworth is the Jr. Program Laser coach

Please let me know if you plan on attending so we can get a head count and more coaches if necessary.

Laser Clinic- Chris Cather is organizing a Laser Clinic at SSA with coaching from Brent Ostbye, director of the SSA Junior Program.  The date has not yet been set.  Anyone interested please contact Chris at  ChrisCather2001@yahoo.com

 

Full Rig Laser sail wanted-  Steve Roth, a local Laser Junior sailor, wants to sail this coming Monday in the Smythe Regatta.  He is looking for a full rig laser sail to either borrow or purchase inexpensively.  Anyone interested in helping him out contact him at sailorsteven@cablespeed.com

Laser Fleet 10 Update

 

 

Hello Laser Sailors,

 

I hope everyone had a wonderful Independance Day.

 

Thanks to all of you that came out for the SSA Laser Summer Series #1 on Saturday June 30th.
