Attention Laser sailors,
Winter Racing Panel Discussions
Come join a number of Eastport Yacht Club members who have committed to organizing an “around the race course” panel discussion series. Leaders in the racing community will present a forum in which a panel of speakers will share their insight into how to best train for and race around the race course. What better use of the club in the middle of the winter!
Each session will focus on a separate leg of the race course. A couple of sessions have been added to discuss contemporary topics such as Match Racing and Team Racing and other topics of interest. The discussions will focus on how to train for the various components of the race; preparing your boat and team, tactics & strategy, and sail trim. The goal is to provide a forum for interested racers to come share their knowledge of how to be successful within the sport of sailing.
The panel discussions will be hosted at Eastport Yacht Club and are free of charge.

18 February: Downwind Sailtrim, Tactics & The Leeward Gate - ALLAN TERHUNE, North Sails One Design
10 March: Team Racing - GAVIN O'HARE, US Sailing Team Racing Championship Chairman
31 March: Rules & The Protest Procedure - JEFF BORLAND, USSailing Judge, and Umpire
14 April: Beyond the Bay - Major Regatta/Campaign - MOLLY O'BRYAN-VANDEMOER, SSA Racing Coach

Laser for sale – $875
Lightly raced 1985 boat in good shape for its age and is a great boat for someone looking to get started racing the laser. Blue bottom & white top with all the original equipment, spars are in great shape with no damage. The hull is in good condition and does not leak, most control lines have been updated. The sail is fast and holds a good shape but shows some wear. Currently stored in Washington Sailing Marina in DC on a rack space, storage paid on the rack through the spring.
