District Championship this weekend!

Hello Laser Sailors,

It looks like it will be another great weekend .... Why not head up to the mountains for a little Laser sailing? 45 boats registered so far!

District 11 Championship at Deep Creek Lake - Deep Creek Yacht Club August 16-17. Check out the NOR at: http://www.laserdistrict11.org/events/e287

Donate Your Old Laser Parts! The Deep Creek Sailing School is in desperate need of Laser parts (in any condition) for their junior program. Radial and 4.7 sails, any mast sections (they'll cut down the lower sections), dagger boards, rudders, old running rigging. Hiking straps. You name it. They need it. They are a nonprofit 501c3. Send it with competitors traveling to the Laser District 11 Championship regatta at Deep Creek Lake Aug. 16-17, or contact Jill Bennett in Annapolis, Maryland jsbennett@aacc.edu or 410-349-4979.

Next weekend - SSA Laser fall series begins Sunday August 24th- Registration begins 8:45, first warning 11am

And Save the Date - The 2008 Laser Crab Claw Regatta will be held at Severn Sailing Association Sept. 20-21. Two days of Laser sailing as well as dinner, crab feast and beverages Saturday night included in the registration fee. D.J. Blair (i.e. my brother, the guy with the funny hat) will be providing the musical entertainment Early registration deadline is Monday, Sept. 15. Register online at www.sailregattas.com.
